Metal: Blown, Plucked, Lit
A music and video performance presenting works by Luca Francesconi (composition), Joyce Beetuan Koh (composition, electronics), Samuel Wong (pipa), Ken Feinstein (video), Justin Hegburg (sound design), Fredi Sonderegger (trombone, composition), John Stewart Jackson (sonic sculptures) and PerMagnus Lindborg (concept, composition, video).
Blending acoustic and electronic sound with video and sonic sculpture, this experimental art experience offers new works by Singapore-based artists as well as the Asian first performance of Francesconi’s “Animus, a brainstorm” for solo trombone and surround sound.
“Metal: Blown, Plucked, Lit” takes place on Thursday 20 March 2008 at 7.30 pm, in the Auditorium of the School of Art, Design and Media at the Nanyang Technological University. Free entrance. Find it on a map.
